Dashboard Overview
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It provides a consolidated, real-time view of your laboratory's daily readiness, including QC completion status, open issues, and upcoming maintenance. A small header in the top-right corner shows when the data was last updated, with a Refresh button to reload it on demand.
QC Check Completion Tiles
At the top of the dashboard, two large tiles show the completion status of the day's QC checks:
- Morning QC Check — Tracks progress across all parameters scheduled for today's morning check.
- End-of-Day QC Check — Tracks progress across all parameters with end-of-day checks enabled.
Each tile shows a parameter completion count and a thin progress bar.
Each tile is color-coded:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | All scheduled parameters have been recorded |
| Amber | Check is in progress but not yet complete |
| Red | Check is incomplete and past the expected deadline (10:00 AM for morning, 3:00 PM for end-of-day) |
| Gray | No parameters are scheduled or configured |
Click either tile to go directly to the corresponding QC check workflow.
Summary Stat Cards
Below the completion tiles, three stat cards display key counts:
- Open QC Issues — The total number of unresolved out-of-range readings plus incomplete parameters for today. A trend arrow shows whether this count has increased or decreased compared to yesterday. Click to navigate to the Morning QC Check.
- Maintenance Due — The number of maintenance tasks due within the next 7 days. Click to navigate to the Maintenance page.
- Verifications Due — The number of equipment verifications due within the next 14 days. Click to navigate to the Validations page.
Each card changes color based on urgency:
- Green — No items requiring attention.
- Amber — Items are upcoming but not yet overdue.
- Red — Unresolved out-of-range readings exist or tasks are overdue.
If optional modules are enabled for your organization (for example Document Control, Employee Binder, Lot & COA Management, Proficiency Testing, Scheduling, or Training), additional stat cards appear in a second row — such as SOPs Due for Review, Lots Expiring, or PT Events Due — each linking to its module.
Most Frequent OOR (7-Day)
This section highlights the top 5 pieces of equipment with the most out-of-range readings over the past 7 days. Equipment with the highest OOR count appears in red; others appear in amber. Click any card to go to that equipment's detail page.
If no equipment has recorded OOR readings in the past 7 days, the section displays a confirmation message.
Morning QC Status Panel
This panel shows every active piece of equipment scheduled for today's morning QC check, displayed as compact tiles grouped by equipment type. Each tile is color-coded:
- Green — All parameters in range, QC complete.
- Green with amber icon — An out-of-range reading occurred but was resolved with a corrective action.
- Gray — QC not yet started for this equipment.
- Red — An out-of-range reading requires attention.
Each tile shows the equipment name, parameter completion count (e.g., "3/5"), and the 7-day OOR count if greater than zero. Equipment with 3 or more OOR readings in 7 days is highlighted in red regardless of today's status.
A green banner at the top confirms when all equipment QC is complete and the lab is ready for patient procedures.
Click any equipment tile to navigate directly to that equipment's QC entry page.
End-of-Day QC Status Panel
This panel follows the same layout and color-coding as the Morning QC Status panel but only displays equipment with end-of-day checks enabled.
Pending Maintenance & Verifications
This panel lists upcoming tasks due within the next 30 days, combining both maintenance tasks and equipment verifications. Each item shows:
- Task name and associated equipment
- Due date badge — Red for overdue, amber for due within 7 days, gray for further out
Tasks are sorted by due date (soonest first) and capped at 10 items, with a count of additional tasks if more exist. Click any task to navigate to the Maintenance or Validations page.
Recent Alerts
Recent operational alerts (out-of-range notifications, overdue task warnings) are shown in the notification bell in the top navigation bar rather than on the dashboard itself. Each alert shows a severity badge (info, warning, or critical), the message text, and a timestamp. Click Dismiss to acknowledge an alert — acknowledged alerts appear dimmed. See the Notifications guide for details.
Quick Links
At the bottom of the dashboard, a set of role-aware quick links provides fast access to common workflows:
- Start Morning QC Check — Available to all roles.
- Start End-of-Day Check — Available to all roles.
- Record Quality Indicator — Available to all roles.
- Review Open Corrective Actions — Available to supervisors and above.
Additional shortcuts (such as Lot & COA Management, Employee Binder Oversight, or Team Schedule) appear when the corresponding modules are enabled for your organization.
If any optional modules are enabled, an Activity Feed and Expiration Timeline also appear at the bottom of the dashboard, summarizing recent module activity and upcoming expirations.
Redesigned Dashboard (early access)
A redesigned dashboard is being rolled out as an early-access feature. It shows the same underlying numbers as the classic layout, reorganized around what needs to be done today:
- Greeting header — A personalized greeting with today's date, your laboratory and department, the last-updated time, and a Refresh button.
- Hero QC tiles — The Morning QC Check and End-of-Day Check tiles remain front and center, each with a parameter completion count and progress bar.
- Tank Health tile (optional) — If cryo tank health monitoring is enabled for your organization, a third hero tile summarizes tank status and links to the Tank Health page.
- Needs attention queue — A single consolidated list replaces the grid of stat cards. Only items with a non-zero count appear, sorted most urgent first (action-required items above due-soon items), and each row links directly to the page where the work happens. Items are filtered by your role and your organization's enabled features. When nothing needs action, the queue collapses to a single all-clear line.
- Collapsible detail sections — Morning QC Status (open by default), End-of-Day QC Status (opens automatically in the afternoon), Pending Maintenance & Verifications, and Activity & Expirations live in sections you can expand or collapse.
- Welcome panel — On first run, a lab with no equipment configured sees a friendly welcome panel instead of empty status panels; administrators get a button to add their first equipment.
Organizations are moved to the redesigned dashboard progressively, so your lab may see either layout.
Tips
- Check the dashboard at the start and end of every day. The completion tiles and stat cards give you an immediate picture of lab readiness.
- Investigate red tiles before beginning patient procedures. Any unresolved out-of-range reading should be addressed first.
- Use the Most Frequent OOR section for trend awareness. Equipment appearing here repeatedly may need maintenance, recalibration, or replacement.
- Click stat cards to navigate directly to the relevant page rather than using the sidebar.
